Around Town In Walsenburg–Edla’s Yarns
Right beside Mike’s Coffee Barn, is this charming yarn shop called EDLA’S YARNS. Now, I am a person that loved to crochet and knit from a young age, so was tickled to see this shop. When I talked to Edla, she told me she had customers come from all over to her shop being as she was the only one that had such an inventory. What a surprise it was for me to see inside. I have never seen so many yarns and products in one store and especially in a small town like Walsenburg. The more I learn about Walsenburg, Colorado the more I realize this is a very unique little town.
I am not sure what I expected to see, but inside Elda’s Yarns are shelves and shelves of yarns and knitting and crochet items and even material. It is quite an awesome find for someone who loves to knit or crochet.
As I stroll through the shop, I am struck by the fact that anything I could want to make from yarn is here in this shop and I would not have to go to a bigger town to get the items.
I could see now why people from the surrounding towns came to Edla’s Yarns to buy their supplies. The convenience of the store layout and the fact that it is located in a small town, making it easier to get to, makes this the Yarn store to go to for your needs when it comes to yarn and even sewing.
I love how the shops in Walsenburg take into account that buyers might want to sit and talk about what they are looking for and Edla’s Yarns is not exception. In the heart of the store is a sitting area where you can look at patterns or just talk about your latest project.
